Breitbart and AFP are reporting that top US Internet search engines in China were being hikacked and redirected to Baidu, a China-Based Internet search firm; apparently in retaliation for the Unites States’ recent award given to the Dalai Lama. According to an analyst from Search Engine Round Table, “Right now this is all speculation. China has not yet confirmed taking these actions. But I doubt Baidu has the power to redirect traffic at the ISP level.
